We are at War! Tuesday Dec 16th, 2014

A spokesman for the Pakistani military says that 141 people, most of them children, were killed in a Taliban assault on a school.Asim Bajwa told a news conference Tuesday that 132 of the dead were children and another nine were staff members. He said there were seven attackers, who all wore explosive vests. He said they didn't appear to want to take anyone hostage but instead started firing indiscriminately when they entered the school. The school attack is one of the worst in Pakistan's history.

There is nothing that has brought me closer to God and his word then this story! It made me literally run for the bible! This is a holy war and it can only be fought with the word of our God as our weapon. In these last days, it is urgent that we reach out in fellowship to our brothers and sisters in Jesus and seek to join in the great harvest of souls before Jesus comes. Those who bring believers together in unity are the ones who are called the children of God. (Matt. 5:9) Things that unit believers in our Lord are infinitely more important then the minor things that separate them. In our day when the Harvest is great and the Laborers are few, may we have the courage and conviction to lay aside our minor differences in the doctrine and fulfill the task Christ gave us: "And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature'" (Mark 16:15). We in Christ are one bread, one body. I believe it is the only way to combat the evil (Taliban) in this world.

Fat Hormone Influences Your Motivation to Eat

A new study helps to explain how leptin, a hormone produced by fat tissue, influences your motivation to eat.

The researchers described for the first time a collection of leptin-responsive neurons in the brain's lateral hypothalamic area (LHA). Those LHA neurons feed directly into the mesolimbic dopamine system, which controls the rewarding properties assigned to things.

The study therefore adds to growing evidence that leptin doesn't turn your appetite on and off just by controlling whether you feel hungry or full. It can also make you want food more or less
regardless of hunger.Sources: http://smart.max4u.com/maxwlx
